License Checker

Commercial use: '+d.commercial+'
Attribution: '+d.attribution+'
Source disclosure: '+d.source+'
Copyleft: '+d.copyleft+'

Pick a licence and get a plain-English summary. Nothing you type here is sent to StackGuide — this is a static page, and the optional GitHub lookup goes directly from your browser to the public GitHub API.

Not legal advice. These are short, plain-English summaries to help you ask the right questions. For a product, a company, or a licence you are unsure about, check the full licence text and, if it matters, a lawyer.

Look up a GitHub repo's licence

Paste a repo URL such as https://github.com/HKUDS/DeepTutor. Your browser will call the public GitHub API directly; no key is needed, but unauthenticated GitHub API use is rate-limited.
